Participant Guide: Educated, In A Well-educated Region

The Envision Participant Guide provides an in-depth exploration of the opportunities and challenges which may shape the future of Prince George’s County.

In today’s excerpt, we take a look at our education:

Well educated, in a very well-educated
region
With 86 percent of the population having attained a
high school degree or higher and 31 percent with a
bachelor’s degree or higher, Prince George’ County
residents are better educated than the nation as a
whole. The county is, however less well educated
when compared to the region, which has among the
highest educational attainment levels in the country
with nearly 90 percent of residents obtaining a high
school degree or higher and 47 percent having a
bachelor’s degree or higher.
