Envision Prince George’s Google Group

Continue the discussion started at the Envision Prince George’s 21st Century Town Meeting by joining the Envision Prince George’s Google Group today!

Over 1000 people came together at the Envision Prince George’s Town Meeting on March 20, 2010 to finalize a shared vision and prioritize long-term goals for the future of Prince George’s County. 

Goals follow action, and now it is time for those who care most about making a better quality of life for all to set a course for action. 

In April and May 2010, we will convene Community Action / Goal Teams to develop short term, 2-3 year, plans for the priority goals that came out of the town meeting. From March 26nd through April 8th, we are soliciting the input of people like you who have interest, passion, and/or expertise in one or more goal areas. This input will help to inform the work of the Action Teams as they start their work on April 10th.

Where we most need your ideas and input is answers to the questions below for each of the priority goals:  

  • What near-term (2-3 years) goals make the most sense for this long-term (10-20 years) goal?
  • What key strategies would be most useful to implement this shorter term goal(s)?
  • What resources will be required to carry these strategies out in the near term?
  • What organizations should be involved in implementation?
  • What barriers might get in the way of implementing in the short term?
