Priority Goal: Local Jobs, Businesses, And Amenities

SUSTAIN: GOAL 1 -Expand and diversify local jobs, businesses, and amenities and decrease the need for long car trips and travel to other communities and outside the county, greatly decreasing pollution, energy use, and congestion.

In the Town Meeting, 53% voted in support of this goal, making it the top priority in the SUSTAIN Envision area.

The LOCAL JOBS Community Action Team (CAT) will assess existing efforts in the county which support this goal, and work to identify key strategies to strengthen it.
