Priority Goal: Higher Education Innovation Engine

WORK: GOAL 3 - Fully utilize the strengths of the higher education sector to translate research into successful scientific and technological commercial innovations, to serve as a powerful jobs supplier and economic engine, and to prepare a more highly skilled and nimble workforce (from blue to white to green collar) for the 21st century economy.

This idea was generated from discussions at the Town Meeting and 36% of attendees voted in support of this goal making it a top priority in the WORK Envision area.

The HIGHER EDUCATION INNOVATION ENGINE Community Action Team (CAT) will assess existing efforts in the county which support this goal, and work to identify key strategies to strengthen it.
