National Harbor To Open Outdoor Adventure Area

[WASHINGTON POST]  NATIONAL HARBOR TO OPEN OUTDOOR ADVENTURE AREA JULY 10

As summer heats up and the kids continue their cries of constant boredom, there is a new family stay-cation option opening up July 10 at the National Harbor.  Calleva, a Poolesville-based company, has recently installed an adventure area with a wooden pirate ship, lighthouse and ropes course that includes a climbing wall, zip lines and a giant swing on high ropes.

Julie Clendenin, outreach director at Calleva, commented that the company’s decision to open at the National Harbor was because “We’re about people getting outside and doing new and different things”…

The new instillation did just that and caused quite a stir at the National Harbor when a number of residents and tourists at National Harbor tested out the new adventure area.  Their cries and screams of excitement and fun quickly filled the air.

This new adventure area is a major addition to the National Harbor development and fits well with developer Milton Peterson’s vision of making it not only a location for shops, restaurants, offices and a marina, but also a perfect place for family fun.
