Hundreds Now Participating in the Envision Online Forum

Hundreds of people have now cast thousands of votes in the first week of our Envision Prince George’s Online Forum!

This week we are discussing and prioritizing visions for how we LIVE in Prince George’s County and SUSTAIN a high quality of life.

LIVE – Envision the communities in which we live— or want to live—and how we contribute to a high quality of life. Topics include:

• Housing
• Public safety
• Health and human services
• Historic preservation
• Urban planning

SUSTAIN – Envision how to sustain a higher quality of life for ourselves and for future generations, including our children, grandchildren, and new residents. Topics include:

• Transportation and other public facilities
• Energy efficiency
• Climate change
• Sustainable development
• Natural environment
• Agriculture
• Water quality

If you haven’t cast your votes, there’s still time.  Voting on these topics runs until Noon Friday, January 22, 2010.  Then, we will take voting down until next week and begin to address new issues:

• January 18 – 22: Visions for the Future in Live and Sustain
• January 25 – 29: Visions for the Future in Work and Learn
• February 1 – 5: Visions for the Future in Serve and Enjoy
