Fort Washington Resident Receives County’s Highest Honor For Historical Preservation

Phyllis Cox has been described as the premier historian of Prince George’s County.  Her zeal for history and accuracy halted the development of several historical sites.  Cox learned that she would receive the 2010 Prince George’s Friend of History Award a few months before she died.  Her children accepted the award on her behalf.  Read more at The Gazette.
