County Schools Receive Funding For Safe Routes To School

Prince George’s County Schools received a grant from Safe Routes to School (SRTS) totaling $897,000. The money will be used to improve bicycling and walking routes in the County around five schools: Glen Ridge, Oak Crest, Woodridge, Highland Park and Gray elementary schools. In case you didn't notice in the last week, Prince George’s County has a new public safety telephone number. Residents can now call 301-352-1200 for non-emergency issues such as locating district stations, following up on police reports and finding other county agency numbers.
